ABOUT THE PLUGS
What are Lonely Loon plugs made out of?
The bodies of our wooden fishing plugs are crafted with locally-sourced basswood and have Eagle Claw steel hooks. All other hardware on our plugs is steel.
What size are your plugs?
Lonely Loon plugs are 4” in length. We occasionally produce 2” wooden fishing plugs which are released for sale through Instagram.
Which fish species will Lonely Loon plugs work for?
Our wooden fishing plugs are designed for a range of species. Due to their unique swimming action, we recommend using Lonely Loon plugs to target predatory game fish like salmon, trout, bass, pike, musky and walleye.
GETTING YOUR PLUGS
Where can I buy Lonely Loon plugs?
Our plugs can be purchased directly from us through our online ordering system. In the summer, we travel to markets in the Parry Sound and Simcoe area. Make sure you follow us on Instagram and Facebook to find out where we’ll be! You can also shop for Lonely Loon plugs in-store at Trout Waters Fly & Tackle in Kelowna, BC.
Where is Lonely Loon Fishing Co. based from?
We are located near Lake Simcoe in Innisfil, Ontario. (And, yes, we offer local pick-up!)
Do you do custom orders?
Yes, we do custom orders. Please note that custom orders do take longer to fulfill and pricing may vary based on the request. To speak with us more about a custom order, send an email to lonelyloon.co@gmail.com.
How long will it take to get my order?
We aim to have your plugs made and shipped within 10 days of ordering and provide an approximate ship date with each order. We’re a very small team and craft all of our fishing plugs by hand – if we’re swamped with orders we’ll let you know that your order might take a bit longer to ship.
How much does shipping cost?
We ship all of our domestic orders with Canada Post. Due to the size of the plugs, it will typically cost between CAD$15-21 to ship your order to you.
If you’re local to the Innisfil area and would like to pick up your plugs, please let us know.
